As a facial cancer survivor, (invasive squamous cell) and someone with some hearing loss I'm always looking for a better mousetrap when it comes to both of them. I like the Surefires a lot, but like electronics for use at clinics so I can hear the instructor. I have 3 different electronic muffs, a dozen hats which don't work with them, and baseball caps.

I'm looking forward to testing these boonies, because I like boonies but haven't been able to use them with muffs.

The ultimate answer are well formed in ear electronics, but they are spendy!

I went to an audiologist maybe five or ten years ago like I said earlier and they are indeed quite expensive as you say, but it is a one time cost, and the cost per use is about nothing considering I use them all the time. Besides, how much is your hearing worth? Plus, I just don't like to go that long without the opportunity of learning something. LOL I am probably more ignorant than most people and I have a very long reading list of stuff I would love to get to before I die.

In short, if you have the money to do it without train-wrecking your finances...just put a crowbar in your wallet and find the cash in there to get it. : )

It's a good point. I can wear muffs 99% of the time without issues, and have chosen to wear plugs that 1% that I find a problem.

But....I've decided to have good in ear plugs made, working on the logistics now.
