I would like to ask you the same question. I don't question any ones motives on this forum because we are all just trying to understand the craziness that's going on and trying to keep the rights that we now have. To say people on this forum are frustrated at times would be an understatement. We may disagree about the why factor but we can all agree that there is defiantly something wrong with the direction this nation seems to be going. If you have a better plan of action I'm all ears. There are a lot of insightful and knowledgeable people on this forum and I enjoy everyone's opinion whether I agree or not.
What am I doing you ask?
1. I don't espouse moronic conspiracy theories that undermine my credibility. I also don't keep my head in the sand.
2. My background was 21+ years in the military. I studied the Constitution and its history since I took an oath to defend it.
3. I call/write/email my congressmen and committee/sub-committee chairs routinely (state and federal)
4. I'm an NRA, GOA, SAF Life Member. I also contribute additional money to these organizations for their political lobbying.
5. I speak to friends, relatives, acquaintances and anyone else who wants to have intelligent conversations about topics of the day, particularly 2A issues
6. I donate money to individual candidate campaigns only (and when the Republican Party calls now asking for $, I read them the riot act over the way they abandon/lock out true conservative candidates including Tea Party candidates, then I tell them I'm not donating to them anymore)
7. I urge friends, relatives, acquaintances to vote
8. I urge friends, relatives, and acquaintances to join NRA, GOA, SAF
9. I vote in every election
10. I don't give up hope
I'm opposed to domestic use of drones for LEA (with the exception of monitoring our borders). Too easy to violate people's privacy. I'm ok with helicopters/planes for LEA because they have a higher cost to operate and they are less likely to be abused as compared to drones.

His current condition is a moot point. This administration has already announced they would waive Mirandizing due to the public safety exception. While I personally welcome their change of heart, they are really just a bunch of hypocrites.

Not aimed at anyone in particular…just my observation that people who espouse 9/11 truther and other such non-sense undermine their credibility and rational people will automatically not listen...

You guys do not give up on the repubs. Here in NC we are trying to run the liberal repubs out. WE KNOW THERE IS NO HELP FOR THE DEMOS. Gave up on my generation and working on grandson's. He is a life member of NRA whether he likes it or not. If he turns out to be a liberal maybe his lifetime membership will haunt him in the future.

I don't understand why were so caught up with rather or not they read the guy his rights. I'm much more worried about how they were able to essentially declare martial law because of A fugitive on the loose. I don't think I'd handle it real well if someone told me I must stay INSIDE my house, that I may not be in my yard, on my property.

As a young man coming of age in the '70's and having to deal with those people, I took the 'K' to be an indicator of what they wished America to become. ABC reinforced this with their deplorable miniseries.
When I see the 'K' currently, I take it to mean what America has become due to the taking of power by those who sought so diligently to overthrow her government and way of life.
No, America is not yet communist. It's well on its way. Yes, the current regime is struggling and faltering in its efforts to speed the process. They haven't completely broken the system yet. Yet. But they're close. The system as it's currently practiced doesn't really work in any meaningful way. Oblammacare is proof of that even if you ignore the '12 election cycle. And unless and until we bring the process back under control, the end is inevitable.
If the state is not socialist/communist, then why does California have a "Board of Equalization" that collects taxes? Why use the term 'Equalization' if not to imply a tax structure designed to place all at the same economic level?
With all due respect to the debate on spelling, I certainly relate to the loss of freedoms to allow social re-engineering. Having said that, we should use the correct spelling whenever possible -- we owe our country that degree of respect. Instead, concentrate on finding and supporting folks who can fill public office in the spirit of a government 'of the people, by the people, and for the people' instead of one 'of the people by the elite.'

In LA they are joking that had it happened there, the LAPD would have killed at least 11 innocent civilians by mistake. Plus no one in LA would have allowed themselves to be forced to stay home. Too many junkies who can not stand to be isolated.
