In fact, who here believes our own government did this act?

I posted the link above . It looks like the bombers are Chechnya imports. I never claimed the bombers were from anything, but I do know who ever set off those bombs are the lowest type of scum . If people want to give their opinions or play arm chair detective I have no problem with it at all. I don't care to get into arguments with people I respect and know would be my good friends if we were face to face. I do believe our government is capable of skull drudgery especially with this administration. Besides arguing with me is my wife's job and she is very efficient at it.

I'm afraid there might be a second gun control push right after we got over this last one. If these guys have weapons that were acquired from individuals, this is a great opportunity for the bill to be ressurected in the senate. Also the issue of tracing gunpowder will be on the table.
I don't have a good feeling about this on a gun control standpoint.
LRRPF52 Wrote:McVeigh was a loner who couldn't get a girlfriend, and had chosen to further isolate himself socially because of the divorce of his parents, even though he had a lot going for him with his talents with computer sciences in school. He chose to be an atheist, and sympathized with enemies of the United States because we "...were the biggest bully in the world...". This is a common complaint you hear from foreigners in 3rd-world countries, or former colonial powers who now live in the shadow of US international prominence, let alone ignorant school propagandists in the US elementary, high school, and university-level indoctrination centers, who have never set foot outside the US, and know painfully little of what goes on in the world.
McVeigh turned out to be weak-minded person who sought deviant means to seek justice, with the easy path that the blame America crowd takes, and it resulted in him getting in bed with professional Middle Eastern cells that had sponsorship from states that had a bone to pick with the US after the Gulf War, especially since the radical elements within those States held their own governments liable for allowing filthy US infidels to set foot in their deforested, dusty holy land. What you commonly see in the Middle East is a dynamic where the governments of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria face a constant internal pressure of trying to govern with radical trouble-makers who have been influenced by extremist religious fanatics, and they pose a serious problem for society.
So the best way for them to manage this problem is to harness it, train it, and focus it outwards to achieve the interests of the state in foreign countries, or on strategic locations within their countries used by foreign entities. In the post-Soviet/Afghan War of 1979-1989 era, you had a mass of various foreign fighters who had traveled to Afghanistan to fight the godless communists, now with nothing better to do, so they became a significant pressure in the region, and the various intelligence services of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in particular didn't waste any time directing the pressure valve on their enemies.
For Pakistan, it involved internal strife and surrogate warfare with India, their arch rival. For Saudi Arabia, it involved regional and trans-continental attacks. Both countries provided bodies, training, and aid to Al Qaeda, to include the assassination of Jewish Rabbi Meyer Kahane, the 1993 World Trade Center bombing by the Al Farouq Mosque out of NYC (involving a Ryder truck with the same type of mega-explosive later used in OKC), the USS Cole bombing, the embassy bombings in the Arabian Peninsula, the Khobar Tower bombing in Saudi Arabia, and so forth. OKC is better understood in this light, not the non-existent domestic Christian white supremacist, anti-gubm't movement assigned to McVeigh in the whitewash of that "investigation".
You just gave a profile that fits most American leftwingers. Isolated, often picked on in high school. Identify with those who are oppressed, especially those who claim to be victims of the US. Easy to hate the US as it is symbolic of the country that housed the high school that bullied you. But then I know a few libertarians who seem to hold the same values.

It would be funny if the individual(s) finally arrested are 1) white, 2) male, 3) converted to Islam, and 4) heavily involved in democrat party politics.....

Chechen (white) but also muslim. Now if they were active in the democrat party, it would be a home run!
BTW, now that it is clear who they were, notice that the MSM is doing their "they must be mentally ill" routine.
And anyone heard their family speak up? The uncle (Boston) called them losers who needed to wiped off the face of the earth. Their sister (NJ) had few good words about them. Same for an aunt in Canada.
There's some pretty interesting video of a shootout, supposedly between the brothers and police, where one brother is laying on the ground afterward. Sounds like a lot of semi-automatic handgun fire, as well as suppressed 5.56. I guess those would more likely be from the police.
I wonder if there is a connection between the Saudi's and the Chechen's, so that a cell leadership would be Saudi, and the operatives are Chechen's.

Even now the reports don't make sense. How does younger brother manage to run away from that kind of a gun fight? No one notices as he nonchalantly walks off?

Hannity says that high-level sources within the government told him there is a connection with the Saudi national Ali Alharbi, who is connected with at least 3 terrorist acts and known terrorists, and was scheduled for deportation, but had is deportation expedited immediately after the bombing, which coincided with the meeting with the White House and Saudi Foreign Minister.
During the FBI's press conference, they stated that the Chechen brothers should be the only two suspects focused on, and refused to answer questions about the reports of other persons who have been associated with the terrorist act.
Janet Nepolitano denied the reports about the Saudi national during her budget request hearings yesterday before COngress, even though several Counter-Terrorism officials have confirmed it.

What?...they give him over to a government known to truly torture? (oh, the horror!)...or is the suggestion that he has connections in Saudi and is going scot free?
If the latter, hopefully the CIA (or better yet, Kraft Int'l) has implanted a tracking device and we take him out with pig blood coated AGM-114's in some camel spider infested back alley in the dust bin of the world.

Bjorn:
How about 'the whole thing is false'? Ever thought that maybe, just maybe, and I know it is a stretch, that a Saudi national on a visa in the USA may just be a Saudi national on a visa?
When I start seeing some names of these 'high ranking US Government Officials', 'high ranking Counter-terror Officials', and filmed clips of them saying this guy is a terrorist agent of some sort, then I will believe it. Hannity or Beck saying they heard it from a source is no more believable than those who think every negative thing in this country is a US Government conspiracy.
And, for those who honestly believe the US Government is capable of enforcing Martial Law on the entire country, you best look at how many LEA and Gaurdsmen it took to cordon off four city blocks within a absolutely massively huge urban area. And, the guy wasn't even in their cordon!

For decent people and decent governments, the end does not justify the means. Successful or not, the end does not justify the means.
Damage is already done to all decent Americans, the rule of decent law, stained Old Glory, and they have shredded that quill-on-parchment social contract called the Bill of Rights.
Sturmgruppen martial law, no Miranda, torture, "public safety exceptions," star chamber assassinations, Kenyan "presidents," "The facts have been set around the policy," "By way of deception" false flags, "Your papers, Comrade!" lies, lies, lies, etc., etc., etc.
Excuse it, rationalize it, defend it, put your head in the sand in deep denial, or do whatever you want.
As for me, I condemn it.
