Mini MK X/ Remington 799 stocks?

Has anyone came up with a list of sites that have stocks for the Mini Mk X Mauser or Remington 799, replacement/aftermarket.

Richards Microfit will inlet any of their stock styles for a Mini Mauser. Price and colour selection is good, wait time is abysmal, quality of fit can be even worse.


Boyds do a thumbhole and a nice hunter style stock for very small $$.


Bell and Carlson do an indestructible synthetic for the little Mauser, but it is damn heavy (40oz!).


Basner does a cracker of a stock for a Mini Mauser (or Zastava m85) and they are cheap, light (21oz w/o pad) and strong. I've tried the stocks above and now have Basners on my mini mausers.


MPI do a stock for the little mauser, and their ultralight one is awesome, but expect to pay twice what a Basner will cost you. I have no personal experience with this company.

I should have checked out Basner first, I found a new in box B&C Carbelite that will be here in a day or so. I bought it because I heard they were light. I guess we'll see, LOL.

They're not. 40oz was my experience and I expect your experience will be similar.

I finally found my scale and got the stock weighed, I weighed it three times and each time it came up exactly 34 oz. It is a new unaltered stock. Maybe they have trimmed a little off them?

Quite possible. Mine was Devcon bedded, but not 6oz of Devcon, maybe 1oz. Maybe.
