I've got a handi rifle in .223 that I wouldn't mind doing this to.

How much did he charge you? Can you forward his contact info?

I wasn't aware that a .223 Rem would work for a Grendel rebore. Do you just have more freebore? Wayne York did the work for around $300. I still haven't shot mine yet. Two kids are not only twice the work of one child.

I had a .223 Handi rebored to 6.5 and chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
...just barely cleans up the chamber, Grendel won't.
It is a shooter.

Wouldn't the barrel come of to be re-bored and if so why couldn't it have a few threads taken from the barrel to get the 223 cleaned up, then re-threaded after chambering. Dosent seem as it would be a difficult proposition, or am I missing something?

No threads on this one, it has a welded bottom lug that is a half hinge for the pivoting single shot action that sets the headspace.

Then I was missing the fundamental construction method of the handirifle and do see why it would not be suitable to use the 223 model, so thanks for the ilumination Bob. I have not seen one for myself.

It has strong potential, especially with the 120gr NBT.
