House Bill 169 has been signed into law by Governor Jindal. Beginning August 15, 2011 people in Louisiana can hunt outlaw quadrupeds with a suppressor. Pigs beware.

LOL. I used to practice 12 oz curls with some government hunters in Wyoming who shot coyotes out of a Piper Cub with a 12 ga, but that is outrageous!

Tried to get that suppressors past for hunting here in Oklahoma last year. But alas, the dems shot it down (no pun intended). They claimed it would only encourage more poaching. I found myself wondering how many poachers that can't afford to buy tags and license are going to go drop $200 on a sup license then another $600+ for the sup itself.

Suppressors are not illegal in Texas for non-game animals. I would not recommend mixing your game/ non-game hunts if you have suppressors in your possession though. I was grilled by a GW last year but was able avoid any trouble. I was only hunting hogs & varmints but because another guy with our group said he was hunting deer I had to answer a lot of questions. Luckily we had only hog in the cooler. Probably would have turned out different if it had been deer.

heck you dont need guns. we caught 8 in a trap one weekend and 5 the next. makes up some good maple pan sausage and good smoked sausage. should have some more probably before the weekend.

We trap them here also, but this adds a level of "fun" to it.
