Nightmare scenario...
This will take not only NRA, GOA, SAF and others, but serious lobbying on gun owners parts to boycott any store that plays ball with Obama in his attempt to flank the NRA.

All they care about is getting the weapons. I cant stand our leaders in this country. Punish all for what some did. Its like being an unfair father and punishing little johnny and Bobbie both because Johnny broke the window. Instead of just punishing johnny. Our leaders in this country are so screwed up in the head.
There is something seriously wrong with an administration that thinks it can override the Constitution with Executive Orders. That is not a president but a dictator. Seems to me that the 2nd Amendment was ro make sure this country did not have a king or dictator, imho.
Wow this is the beginning of a long battle. I agree vanguard this clown has been using the Executive Orders to bypass the checks and balances that are in place to ensure we don't end up with a dictator.
Ive been saying this for weeks. The economy is in such disrepair that they have to take the guns before the dollar plummets. Its not about the guns its #1 Power- We're in charge, give us your guns submit or you die. #2 They cant have a Greece scenario with pissed off armed starving Americans now can they. #3 This is the big one, Anarchy. They cant bring the UN until there is fighting in the streets of the good ole USA. I know, I know it sounds like a bad science fiction movie. Sometimes facts are stranger then fiction. Best advice stay focused and armed and wait it out. We'll know soon enough. For those of you that voted Obama, how do you like the Hope and Change now?

Dont forget all the dead people that vote on a consistent basis.
I suspect at least one aspect of this will make it through without much debate, high capacity magazines in rifles and handguns. I don't think they will take away our AR's, but they will definitely do their best to stop the availability of them to anyone other than Law Enforcement. Folks in the North East and the left coast are going to face much tougher restrictions than places such as Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.
Ammo is another concern, we may go back to the days of gun shops keeping track of what you buy and limiting sales to store fronts only.

Joe Biden shouldn't be afraid of the NRA. He should be afraid of the millions of gun owners in this country! This guy from NY is wasting money by proposing the same bill as he did last time. People should be livid!

Did you catch the part in the article where they talk about offering special benefits for large retailers to continue to be able to sell guns, if they support gun control measures that will eliminate individual sales, while repeating the gun show loophole myth?
I don't buy anything from ChinaMart unless it has a "Made In USA" label on it, which means I rarely shop there-maybe once a year.

Like you, I rarely go to WalMart anymore. I do buy engine oil there as it seems to be half the cost of car specialty stores. But if they play ball with O in his gun grabbing scheme, I won't shop there, I'll encourage others not to shop there, and I'll let them know. Hopefully I won't be the only one...

I don't support wal-Mart at all. Or any large cooperate conglomerate. I will always try and shop a local business preferably one that doesn't sell products made out of the USA, which is becoming very difficult.

I love how Barry tries to poison the well up front by tossing Walmart's name out there. They are the number one seller, never stopped during all of this nonsense, and haven't made any comments (that I've seen or read) about even considering stopping. Yet a lot of folks will be angry at Walmart because of what Barry said.
Barry flapping his chops = mission partly accomplished alreaady. His driving the wedge by merely using their name hands him a freebie. If I was Walmart I'd be standing in the corner like a deer in the headlights wondering what just happened.... It is a good idea to write them, but I'd keep it mighty civil. Too much friendly fire would convince them that they've likely already lost our segment, and being the mega corporation they are, they might just decide to do damage control and just eject from the whole firearms segment.
Most of us can afford to shop wherever, but the overwhelming majority of folks in flyover country (not Barry's urban flock) do shop there. I'd hate to help Barry lock his freebie in by going all apecrap at Walmart prematurely.
It'd be kind of like if Barry said he'd "kill the Grendel by leveraging John Hanka into changing this site". If he said that half the people on the net would fly off the handle all pissed at John before anybody even knew what really happened. Meanwhile John would be wondering what the heck just happened and many would be suspicious of him after that no matter what he said. Write Walmart, but beware of Psyops......

Those are excellent points Variable. My instinct has led me to believe long ago that something shady is up with Chinamart screwing over small family businesses with their global footprint model of manufacturing everything in China, and industrializing as much of the market as possible.
For example: With ammo, they can buy it cheaper than most gun stores, and sell it cheaper. If they are the only game in town one day, they can then stop ammo sales altogether, and effectively turn off the supply to the citizenry.
