Not with a CCW you don't, but that's not what I was referring too. If I want to buy a gun from any private party (non FFl) I am required by law to show proof of residency and that is all. I own a few firearms that I bought from Joe Nobody cash sale and it's perfectly legal. Sooo "what assualt rifle?? I've never even owned one!"

When I was referring to registration laws already being implemented I was talking a bout that questionnaire you fill out and submit to the ATF when purchasing a pistol or AR from an FFL dealer. Purchasing a pistol or AR from Joe nobody is a different story, as at that point the gun has been registered to somebody at some point.

The government already has our pistols and AR's registered and a paper trail on them to some degree. Feinstein is aiming to expand that practice and make it more efficient for the individuals who want to eventually confiscate all firearms.

The one thing we do have in our favor is this proposed legislation will cost money to implement.
A LOT of MONEY.
From personal experience, most everything in government revolves around MONEY.
Money the Federal G'ment doesn't have.
A law that is politically correct and politically expedient but can't be enforced.
A law that can't be enforced or is challenged is impotent.

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst....

Ive never had a ccw anywhere else but Georgia but I assume that its similar in all the states other than NY. But I had to have all my fingers printed, background check that took a week and the magistrate judge personally interviews you for your application as well as slapping it in your hand. Trust me they have all my info, they really dont need anymore info.

I deal with [certain] Govt pecker-heads on an everyday basis....they can't administer their way out of a wet paper sack with three hands and instructions.....and if they can, it cost five times what it should. The ones I deal with are petrified of defense budget cuts..

With my "MOST SINCERE APOLOGIES" for the "honorable" senatoret from the People's Socialist Republic of KKKalifornia, I got my 10 new Grendel Mags from Alexander Arms today.... I had 13 already for a grand total of 23!!!! This should be enough for my two and a half Grendel rifles ( I am waiting on a barrel from Satern to complete my third gun... but i am not sure what will happen to that now! ).

Well written blog and he's right the last thing we want is a war or any violence for that matter. However, if they come for our weapons I don't see any other way of preserving liberty and the constitution I swore an oath to protect.

Benjamin Franklin said revolution would be necessary every 100 years to preserve liberty. I fear he maybe correct.

I truly hope our nation can find some sanity soon, but whatever does happen in the days and months ahead just know that I will die a free man.

The "us" and "them" stuff has to go. Lots of people on both sides mean well and love our country. When there is so much vilification on both sides...people just stick to their original narrative and refuse to reason. Being smart doesn't even help. You just get more and more complicated ways of justifying your narrative to believe what you did to begin with in the face of any evidences to the contrary.

If they loved our country we wouldnt be going through the fundamental changes to a Socialist state. They want our guns so we cannot resist and thats just keeping things real.
