I know there is a significant amount of frustration with the pig issue in the southern US, and that many have taken the view that "a good pig is a dead pig". I also recognize that the remark made was a bit flippant, (Maybe it comes from my years in emergency rooms, where that kind of black humor is what allows the nurses and docs to survive! I've heard much worse said about people who abuse the system, much like some view feral pigs as abusing the system.)

That said, we expect everyone on the board to act appropriately, treating each other as you would friends. We realize that oftentimes the context encourages someone to read more into something than was really intended. Please remember that, and don't take offense when something is said that might be a bit off.

Remember, one of the things that makes us human is that we can appreciate suffering in other beings.

A gentle reminder should suffice.

This got wayyyy too serious for me.... I type with a smile on my face, but I guess 18 active duty years in the Corps (and counting) and the type of humor I'm used to in the Great Green Gun Club doesn't transfer. I would like to see the newest pest species-the over grown population of Timber-gray- wolves brought in line w/ current deer estimates, here in my northern Mn. hunt spot . Von, very nice post-I would agree w/the no natural predators scenario--it all goes haywire fast. No foresite back in the old days,= We are at the -Other extreme here, now. No animal ever needs to suffer.Terminate them AFAP. Double tap if need be, at the start. Take them down real quick. Wow, so much venison gone to waste.
