110 yd shot, had to shoot quick shot her a little low, took out her heart and both lungs. She ran 50 yards downhill and crashed over the hillside . Complete pass through with the 123 grain amax...I am surprised that the amax held up that good.

Yes, you have to feel good about that (and it will eat good too. For many of us it seems that a rifle isn't really a rifle untill it has put meat on the table.

One less deer to find a car in WV. I heard on radio yesterday that WV has the highest deer to car ratio in the US. . 1 in 40. Here in South Dakoat we are now 2nd @ 1 in 68. I'll do my part in thinning the heard a little more this year.

Nice doe and it will eat goood. Our rifle season starts on Nov. 10th, I won't get to start hunting until Monday because I will be in Tulsa,Oklahoma for the fall gunshow.If I didn't get so much restoration work there I would stay home and hunt,but duty calls so I have to go. This coming weekend is our youth season so I get to take my 14yr old daughter. Really looking forward to that.

Very similar experience for me with the AMAX this weekend with a buck. I was an inch or two higher, so I missed the heart, but it put him down in 20 yards or so.
