Put the final 20 down range, then a few more for fun

All the shots after the break-in were made by a couple of my buddies that were at the range with me, sticker target at 100 yards, rest are at 50

We then went for the gong at 200 yards, hit it with every shot

Awesome! Good shooting Jerry, wish I could have stuck around for the 100 yard session. I loved that I lost the first of the five I shot not knowing the trigger, the next four made me a bit jealous when they cut a jagged hole. Thanks for the honorable mention, it's been a pleasure to help. Now it's time to build some custom loads and see what she'll really do. I do think it's incredible, the groups that we shot using Wolff Gold! I didn't say it but I was also happy to see that the bottom cover on the PRS didn't come loose. Steve

I got lucky he had 1 in stock someone had ordered and then canceled before it was shipped, their wife said no to the gun, guess we know who wears the skirt in that family lol
I know you will feel it is worth the wait once you get it, shoots incredible, and be sure to follow the break-in instructions, you will need sweets and hoppes, the procedure is a pain but it will be worth it trust me

With high-end barrels, I'm not a big follower of break-in procedures. The premium barrel-makers lap the snot out of their bores, making them very smooth, and they are uniform to extremely high standards.

I just shoot them, and enjoy tight groups from the get-go.

Thats all i did with mine was shoot it. Prints half inch or less.

I always agreed with the above until I helped (watched) Jerry through this break in, I'm now changed. I will try this on the next barrel I install, not for grouping improvements but the improvement in the lack of copper fowling. On the third leg of the break in he wasn't getting any copper. After the break in he fired 50 rounds (part of his post here) and didn't get any copper. I own and have installed a number of what I think are the best barrels made and I have never seen ZERO copper come out of a barrel. This is of course IMHO. Steve

If I'm not cleaning it anyway, what do I care about copper? Copper is actually the highway of success the bullets ride on for consistent grouping, until fouling becomes so unbearable, which takes a very long time in a high-end barrel.

I never get any copper from my cut rifled barrel or my chrome lined barrel. Alls i did was shoot mine. Both shoot great and a super easy to clean.

To get mine to clean easier, I just use a smaller jag...or patch!

I cleaned my weapons in the Army so excessively, that the carbon credits passed on to all my civilian AR15's and AR10's, without even seeing each other! Who knows what my carbon footprint really is, but if I stuck my fingers in there, I could tell you what my carbon fingerprint is...
