I had a couple Model 1 sales 6.5 "sporter" uppers and they were fine shooters, great values. I have recommended them to many who want to enter the Grendel realm but don't want to drop big $$$$ on an upper.

Its just been too hot here the last 3 weeks to deal with going to range and trying to focus on shooting in 105 degree plus days. When it cools down I will get out there and shoot her.

Hey Peck, its a gen 1 night vision scope that I use for hog hunting, Works great for that too.

Just recognize the J&T will be a proper grendel chamber and bolt. M1S has a history of non-std chambers and the weaker 7.62x39 bolt. And the associated problems that go with it.

Historically the cost difference between the two is minimal, and J&T has a much better grendel reputation.

Prices for Model 1 Sales are listed right on their website. You can select a base upper and then configure it as you wish with various options.

Here is a link to their website, it should help you out as you look over the various options you'll simply need to add the options to the base price to get your total. Select the barrel length then select your options.

Melensdad, I understand the the pricing is listed, but it always seems to get more expensive as parts are added. I have come up with $800-900 for a $550 upper. I simply wanted to know what he had in the upper.

But M1S has more choices than J&T. If I got what I wanted, a 24" heavy barrel, that would leave me with the GDMR or Overwatch from AA, or the 24" Grendel from M1S

Not sure about that, I'd call J&T or look in their paper catalog. (down load the PDF) You can add over 100 options to their configs. What is it you are looking for? I'm pretty sure they had long HB's. I owned a J&T 20" Bull barrel, and it was incredibly accurate. (A friend talked me out of it and still has it) Loved the Hornady factory ammo and was very good with multiple reloads.
