Sound moderator for Grendel

Any one got any experience of sound mod’s for Grendel? Perhaps that might be available in England. I am using Lapua cases and Lapua Scenar 123 and 139 grain bullets at almost full loads N530 @ 26.3 grains

I'm not sure what manufacturers you have on your side of the pond but any suppressor designed for a 30 caliber should work just fine.

Your biggest suppliers in Europe will be Brugger & Thommett, Ase Utra, & BR Tuote. I personally deal with all 3 when in Europe, and they make some Hollywood-quiet cans for 5.56, 9mm, 7.62, and even .338 LM. I've been very impressed with offerings from all 3 of these companies, and the prices are about 1/3 what we pay in the States, without the insane licensing and waiting time from the criminal organization known as ATF.

If you consider the technology and materials that go into them (nothing special) there's no way they would cost what they do now if a free market applied to them. Gov keeps the supply down so the price is high.

About 10 minutes from me. Nice guy. I was actually on his waiting list to buy one of those cans but a came across a deal on a lathe. I'm waiting on a form 1 to make my own.

I can get a custom made titanium mod over here for £600 but the run of the mill ase utra or jet-z about £210 to £300. I think it might just be the titanium one for me as its only 400 grams or 14 oz

if you can get a 6.8mm suppressor that would probably be your best bet there are plenty of 6,8 cans on the market state side but i have yet to see mass produced 6.5 cans but a 30 cal can will work just fine especially fire full house loads you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference between a 6.8 and a 30 subsonic you may notice a few db difference

I bought an Ase Utra Jet-Z CQB in Finland, which is a pretty quiet can on a 5.56, but heavy. I got it for 400e I think, and sold it for the same, no paperwork required at all. I would be arrested and face up to 10 years in prison in the US for such a heinous act against humanity! I guess we should regulate mufflers on cars...oh wait, we do. You HAVE to have one, or face citation and fines.

I don't know of any specific 6.8 suppressors in Europe, but there are plenty of 6.5mm suppressors from Ase Utra, since 6.5x55 Swede is such a popular cartidge there.

I have an ASE Ultra for my AR15, a Parkerhale for my .22 and a Third Eye Tatical Spartan for my Grendel (£175.00 from Rifle Craft) in Norfolk UK.

If you get a 7.62 supressor you could use it for .300 wisper too. That cartridge was made for a supressor.

I jst boght a spressor to pt away for when my barrel gets here and my mini mauser botl rifle build get done. Will be great with my 21in light Sako profile.
It is a mini over barrel duralium and stainless model that is 4 in in front of the barrel and 5 1.2 inches overbarrel. It only weighs 290 gram or under 10 oz
