I ordered in a small group buy, three 24" Overwatch complete uppers on Friday, was told today there 8 Weeks out direct from AA.
Though it doesn't matter, they did charge my card upfront. We can't wait to complete these builds as we have 840 rnds of hornaday amax on the way.
We are currently looking at properties to build a 1000 yd. Shooting lane, which to my suprise isn't that easy in southern AZ.

I don't think they charged it but instead put a temporary hold on it for the amount.. At least that is what they did when I ordered my barrel a couple of weeks ago..

I saw my available credit drop by the amount of the barrel invoice, but never saw the charge actually listed on my on-line statement.. A couple of days later the hold was released, and my available credit jump back up..

I called bank to verify, it charged, also got an email stating so with invoice and transaction ID.
As stated, that doesn't matter, there bought and paid for as far as I'm concerned.

I just want it now, got ammo, scopes and lowers !

That's interesting, they have never charged in the past until the item was ready for shipping. They would typically call, double check that you still were planning on it, and charge it.

Hmmm.. Really.. Now I am wondering if somehow my order got cancelled.. Drat and it's too late to call AA today.. I am going to worry about it all night <LOL>..

I don't mind if my account is charged. as overwatch said, that way I know it's paid for.. Beside, how great would it be if it was time to ship and the missed had previously ran up the account.. <gasp!!>..

Idk. I used a visa/debit. I hope it's charged, I don't want to hold on to other peoples money for 2 months.

I used a debit card and it was charged instantly when I placed my order. Then when my bank processed the order that night, the money was actually returned to my account.

Been 4 days, and it's still gone..... I don't want it back !
Also, I received a receipt email from an AA rep. After I received the automated purchase info.
Possibly it being 3 pieces at nearly 2500 $ is why ? Idk.

Yea that seems odd. When I ordered my upper I also used a debit card. AA checked to see if the funds was available but didn't actually take the money until the day my upper shipped.

Did the charge a restocking fee on something that is not in stock.

I'm thinking of it. If they had some idea what to expect when but every time I email it's totally different and already 2 - 3 weeks past the initial estimate. When I had a boat kit manufacturing business I was careful to stick to estimates for delivery time or else call the customer and explain.

Well, after countless emails with Stephanie at AA, we've decided to wait for our order. Stephanie has been a great help, and returns my emails same day.
I'm very pleased with customer service thus far.

You guys are complaining over a couple week wait?! Back during the the first election rush it took me close to 8 months to get my upper. Sit back and relax. AA is a small quality company, and your parts will get there when they get there.

I've never had to wait on a weapon, driving me crazy ! A couple Weeks is one thing, a couple months is another!

Shoot, I am not complaining about the wait.. I just waited 3 months on a stock set I was told would be delivered in 3 weeks - technically I still don't have it, but from the tracking it will be delivered tomorrow..

And heck, I once waited over 2 years for some custom barrel work I had done on my Win Mod 70..

Quaility work takes time.. There is an old saying, "You can have it fast, or you can have it good".. I choose good.. flk k

LOL! You might not want to try buying any NFA toys then (machine guns, short barrel rifles/shotguns, silencers, etc.). You'd definitely go nuts. Most definitely don't become a depositor on a newly developing weapon like the Shrike was either.LOL
