Faxons sale on the 12 barrel got me so now I have 2 of them and am heading down the Grendel rabbit hole.
Im waiting on the Maxim bolts, KVP dimple jig, gas block/tube, and a few boxes of factory Frontier ammo to test with.
I have a Sprinco Blue spring and H1 buffer in it currently but Im open to other suggestions when using a standard M16 carrier. I doubt Ill run it suppressed but I had the mount as a spare and do have a 762SD.
Any advice is welcome.

The gas block/tube should be here tomorrow and the bolts should be here Friday.
We'll see how long it takes Optics Planet to get the KVP dimple jig here...
I did order a set of Hornady dies and a L.E. Wilson case gauge. At some point I'll go with a L.E. Wilson FL Bushing sizing die and Forster Micrometer seater, however, the Hornady dies will work for now since having an extra set of dies won't hurt and the set I want is going to cost $200. I can't believe how much the Redding Type S die sets have gone up since 2020...it's crazy!

The Grendel seems to work great!
The 120gr FMJ Hornady load had rounds touching at 100yds ????
Dad got his Xero today and it showed an average of 2300fps for that load in the 12 barrel which is pretty respectable I think.
I wound up using a Sprinco Blue (Extra Power) recoil spring and H2 buffer. Ill probably try an H3 next time but I need to see how zippy my reloads are as to whether thatll be too heavy.
