FINALLY after 10 months my suppressor arrived and my home defense gun is finished.

BUILD NOTES

Buttstock: Magpul PDW stock
Pistol grip: LaRue A-PEG
Receivers: Aero Precision
Charging handle: Aero Precision BREACH
BCG: REXUS with UltraBolt and UltraExtractor
Trigger: LaRue MBT-2S
Safety selector: Schmid Ambidextrous
Handguard: Aero Precision S-One
Barrel: REXUS 6.5 Grendel 12"
Suppressor: Dead Air Sandman-S (badass, but a heavy beast; next time going with something half the weight in titanium)
Magazine: Alexander Arms branded E-Lander
Optic: SIG Romeo5X red dot (notice how the battery compartment is neatly incorporated into the mount, not sticking out all ugly like others)
Weapon light: O-Light PL-Pro Valkyrie (like the light, but am torn about the location; handguard conveniently has rails at 12 o'clock and the position is perfect for thumb operation when gripping the weapon, but it does obscure the sight picture a bit. Might get a mount that moves it off to the 1:30 position.)

This little beast lives near our bed — in case something goes bump in the night. Now that the suppressor has arrived, I can save our lives while also saving my hearing.

Nice build. Have something similar in 5.56 (11.5 inch barrel). The dead air sandman short has some weight to it, but it will take anything you can throw at it. Light placement is all about working with your grip. I use the stream light pro tac with 45 degree offset and pressure pad. I don’t like anything messing with my sight picture either. I have used a streamlight tlr without the pressure pad on the 9 o’clock position and it was very intuitive. Depending on grip you can operate the light with pointer or thumb. See fast- shoot fast

Very nice BFT. I like having consistency in my weapons and normally have WML mounted on the left side. I’ve moved away from pressure switches on WML on my AR-15’s. I’ve gotten used to using push button tail caps. I have several Streamlight Pro Tac lights in 1” scope ring mounted to a short M-Lok pic rail at 9 O clock. Simple inexpensive but effective. It really boils down to your wallet and personal preference. You have good taste BFT!
