Some here may have an interest in the MP435 Powder Similar to IMR 8208Xbr at American reloading, with the 12% discount it is running $176 bucks for 8 lbl if this is of interest. Code 2023

I saw that also. Wondering if this is a ball or stick powder. They claim similar burn rate to 8208 and recommended to work up all loads using IMR 8208 minus 10%. This is interesting but I would need more details of this powder.

If you get some, please let us know how it works compared to 8208.

A valid question. Am Rel "similar to" can be actually the same powder, or some completely different powder with a similar burn rate, and not have some of the key performance properties like T sensitivity and fouling cleaning properties.

St Mark's is the OEM for many powders. But not 8208.

That said, it was still a heck of a deal. If I didn't have an unopened case of 8208 jugs still ("buy it cheap, stack it deep"), I'd have bought it.

Noticed that went fast.
Jug showed up today. As I expected it looks like 8208, short small diameter extruded propellant. Will give it a go in a bolt action 6mm ARC soon w lighter projectiles.

BE AWARE: Midwest Powders has an internet site that advertises in-stock reloading powders at good prices. However, after sending a PayPal amount following a message from Midwest Powders confirming my order, and where they requested that I send the order payment to a specific individual, I tried to get confirmation on a shipping date. After a week where I sent 3 emails repeating my request, and receiving no response, I tried calling them. The phone had been disconnected. I then sent an email to the individual where the PayPal payment had been sent. Again, no response.

Bottom line: Just called my credit card company and explained my concern. They agreed to cancel the charge from PayPal, and also notify PayPal of a payment made by me through deceptive/fraudulent practices on behalf of the seller. BEWARE MIDWEST POWDERS !!!!

That's not the same midwest powders AR is selling. That is a fraudulent site but the powder AR is selling is a different company

As a note, several guys in one of the 6.5G Facebook groups are reporting their 8lb jugs being over 2lbs short. Hopefully it was an error, but time will tell. I saw at least three guys mention it…

Ill need to report the same experience as well! Jug weighed 6lbs Id call this less than 75% of advertised weight of 8lbs of powder. In the future Buyers beware! we will see if American reloading is inclined to make this right.
