Don't do this.... Feed Grendel into a 7.62

UGH.... Took the SIL shooting with me and he fed a 6.5 Grendel into my 7.62x39 AR Mutant. Yeah, an unfired cartridge ......

I thought I was a half-assed gun smith, but nothing I tried would free that shell.

Had to take it to my smithy.... Took him half an hour to get it out.


I must say, I am surprised... Isn't a 6.5 Grendel, just a necked-down, 7.62x39? You would think the Grendel would just pop out, right?

Grendel has a straighter case, a different taper to the shoulder, and of course the neck.

Not just a necked down 7.62 X 39 at all.

And a small rifle primer pocket as opposed to a large rifle primer. Moot point as far as your stuck case, but just sayin'....
