My tax stamp was Denied!
The email from the FFL said that the ATF said the picture wasnt right! WTF? I used regular passport phots, following all of the ATFs guidelines! Apparently, not good enough.
It gets better. I used those same photos for another can 3 weeks later!
Unreal!
Found these guys, maybe try this next time. Anybody else use them before or an alternative?

Turns out after kicking over more rocks this morning, it was the FFL who submitted the eform that screwed it up! When she scanned my hard photos to transfer them to the eform, she screwed up the file size and submitted a picture that was obviously way to small. Or at least thats what I think but, the FFL is still trying to blame it on the ATF
Anyway, it was DOA, I just didnt know it for 9 months!

I use silencershop.com. At first their claim of 99.9% success being an important value to me didn't seem important. As time goes on, and I hear of more and more gun shops making obvious errors, I think maybe it is good that silencershop.com takes great care in checking over the forms. Sorry about your hiccup. I assume you can resubmit and keep your place in line? May want to tell them about your other submissions while you have them in communication.

Completely agree, just never got that advice early on.
That is definitely the plan with the refiles! Ignorant of the process and my LGS had a 22LR can in stock, so I started there. Im pretty sure the first one is history, have to start over, refile. Not sure whether I can salvage the second one or not! Unlikely! The fact she, (my FFL) is slow/reluctant to communicate is not encouraging. Live and learn!
As soon as I can divorce myself from them, its done!
My 3rd can is through Silencershop and if things stay on the current schedule, should be hearing something about that one early next month! I fully expect that to come through. The passport picture is obviously larger, and to spec. Has the Silencershop stamp of approval on it. So, at least Ill have access to one while waiting.
