Bought a CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel and used it a couple years to harvest 4 antelope between 409 and 454 yards. Used 100,120 and 123 elds with drop dead results. Liked it enough to build an AR useing anderson parts and BCA 20" barrel topped with an Arken 4-16 scope. It has consistantly taken prairie dogs past 500 yards. It dropped an antelope in his tracts at 357 yards last year.
Well this year I got busy and didnt have time to reload my favorite 120eld and AR COMP load so i checked zero on a couple boxes of Hornady 123 black and went hunting. This guy toped the next hill 600 yards out and I just got comfy on the sidehill and waited for his curiousity to get the best of him= it worked. He got within 150 and i realized he was not going to make book. Was about to give him a pass when he turned his head....something made me take the shot!

Whats the NR goat hunting like in your area? Are tags on preference points, lottery, or available for otc purchase?

Youd have to look up DNR rules, as they change every year.
Looks like NR fees are $337 for antelope, $72 for NR license, $15 application fee for species.

This watershed has favored me with a few unique goats
Got this guy in 2014 withe the 30-06 before I knew how good the Grendel is. No right prong and lite mass makes him score low but looks good on the wall.

Filled these three tags with the Grendel past 400 yards with the CZ Grendel in 2017. The doe in this case had interesting horns

Awesome goats and great shooting. I absolutely am obsessed with hunting them now. Wished that I would have drawn a tag for this year. Hopefully next.

Some cool speed goats you have harvested. That last one looks like could be a buck book but I love that wide spread one and the others with the extras. Keep at it with the GRR speed goats are fun to hunt.
