Broke my GRSC 1-4 on the 12” Grendel

I was running a course on Saturday, did some fun shooting again from 200-800yds with the 12” Grendel, then noticed I wasn’t hitting the targets anymore.

Looked through it after shooting and saw that the reticle canted.

This was a known problem on the 1-4x Korean-made GRSC scopes, part of why they were discontinued.

The glass and field of view was so great though, I just risked it for those features.

The Japanese Light Optical Works-made 1-6x GRSC scopes hold up to AR-10 and full-auto, so I think I’ll put that on the 12”, or my 1-10x Razor Gen III.

I really wish the GRSC reticle was in the Razor Gen III. That would be bliss.

If the GRSC reticle was in the Razors, that would be nirvana for an LPVO.

The MOA reticle is very similar in the Gen III 1-10x since it’s a ballistic trajectory reticle, while the Mil is a Mil grid tree.

I find the ballistic reticle in the GRSC with the graduated 10” circles to be very intuitive, whereas a basic mil grid tree can get you lost as you go down with holds.

You could make a hybrid of them with the outer thick crosshairs from the EBR-9.

Great insight! Thinking about a different scope for my 14.5" 6ARC (Grendel little brother so appropriate in this forum)... Currently have a PA 1-8 SLX on it but the ACSS is designed for 5.56... Would love a 1-10 just not sure which one
