Best budget drop-in trigger?

I just put that very trigger in a friend of mines gun that had an awful trigger.

What a difference it made in his shooting………..

He went from horrible to ok with just the new trigger….

I laughed, but it's true. I've seen it myself. A bad trigger combined with a poor shooter is a knotted mess that is difficult to untangle. It is nice when a poor shooter with a good trigger and barrel can say, "ah! I pulled that shot right", and it hit right.

Not technically a “Drop In” trigger but, IMO , for the money, it’s hard to beat the LaRue MBT-2S! Flat bow, recurve bow, single stage, two stage, it’s all good! They can hang with the Geissele, at less than half the cost!

Thanks to everyone for your recommendations. I'm studying all of them. Kind of interested in the two stage trigger. Have one on a Remington 22 lr i grew up with. Thinking of installing it in an Ar 223 I use for practice.

I have a LaRue 2 stage in one rifle and a Geiselle single stage in another. Both are great, but I have come to prefer the 2 stage. But, that’s just me.

This. I sold my Giessele SSA to buy 2 more MBT-2S triggers. At $100 or less, they are really hard to beat, and I use them as my go-to trigger in everything. It has a crisp & consistent break, a very positive reset, and I absolutely love the wide, flat face. I didn't like the flat bow as much as the curved, but that's definitely more of a personal preference.

i used thier 535a in my grendel, you can usually get it in the 150 range

This is a pretty good trigger, and for the money.....you can't beat it, or even come close. It isn't zero creep or ultra low reset, but again....for under $100 delivered, it is damn good.

And for reference i have a couple triggertechs (my favorites) and an Elf, a hiperfire, and several POF's (second favorite).

This is a great trigger, I have 3 of them in my different rifles. $89 right now, drop in and comes with anti-walk pins.

Polish out the trigger you have and drop a set of JP Enterprise
Springs in it. (the yellow ones). I put a set in a beater and was pleasantly surprised. I think they were right about $10
