Stand up guy deserves a thumbs up!
#1
I bought an upper from Grendel Hunter it arrived within a week (fast service) I noticed a minor issue that concerned me on the test fired brass pertaining to chamber honing or a tad of reem chatter.
I sent him an email over the 4th of July weekend. First thing this morning he was on the phone and we discussed the issue. He had seen the condition once or twice over the years ( he doesn't make the barrel so it's a QC slip on the maker). He also said it didn't matter his opinion on the chamber all that mattered was MY opinion on my purchase. He offered me a full refund or a replacement on the spot. His reputation and my satisfaction were job one. I opted for the barrel replacement and I had a return UPS label in my email in minutes. A guy who makes sure his customers are satisfied more than he values the sale gets my business every time.
Andy at Grendel Hunter is a stand up guy Thumbs up sir!
When shopping within the price point he offers I recommend him highly just on customer service and his workmanship is well done, nice fit and finish.

Great Report about a vendor……

I’ve had exactly the opposite experience dealing with LaRue on a new upper I purchased last week. They could absolutely care less about customer satisfaction…….The customer is always at fault with LaRue.

There was a member here that had a damaged LaRue barrel (not a quality control problem) and CS were no help letting person buy a new barrel. Mark LaRue saw a post on another forum and immediately contacted the person and resolved the issue.

I think I would try contacting Mark LaRue personally or try the customer service agents supervisor or manager. Many times business owners get removed from the day to day operation and loose touch with the customers.

Vascar2,

As always you are the voice of reason…..I just tired of fighting the system

The fault was pushed back on me,it is my fault……for shooting reloads.

I was told that I need to shoot 500 rounds of factory ammo first, I would have not bought the upper in the first place if this were stated in the order form.

I haven’t shot a factory load on over 40 years.

Just disappointed in the purchase all the way around, if you have to speak to the owner to get something as simple as this resolved, they must have bigger issues than poor customer service.

At this point, I just don’t care…….
