That shipping is no joke. Ordered Monday and was delivered on Wednesday. Ironically ordered a bolt two days prior and its still in transit, mysteries of the post office I guess.

BFT, your site is showing out of stock on the 16inch...there was like 83 just 3-4days ago. Are they really all gone? or site issue?

I put a hold on them while I investigate issues with the gas port size. I'm concerned about last-round lock-back such that with "weak" ammo like Wolf 100gr or Federal 90 TNT they're locking back on the lip of the bolt carrier and not on the bolt, as they should.
I'm thinking that in my quest to create the best barrels for the money accurate, handy, and sweet-shooting I may have gone "a port too far." Which is a pity since just yesterday a guy was telling me his (at $147) shoots 1/2" at 100 yards better than his Bartlein!
Anyway, they're off the site until I'm satisfied they're the best they can be.

That would seem to explain the random FTEs and failures to strip next round experienced after moving to this 16" from a 12" - as if short stroking... Was function testing with Wolf. Only difference in the rifle's components was the barrel swap. I'll hold off tearing it down. Please post solutions as soon as you can.

MyRifle, been shooting up a storm with the 12s and they're correct. (BTW, I port them for use with standard carbine buffers and springs.)
AZHTF, go ahead and tear it down and send it back. This is a warranty issue and it's my own damn fault. Port on 16 may be fine if you're only shooting full-power Hornady, or such, or suppressed, but it's too small for Wolf and light bullets.
Simple solution is to drill them to the standard .076, but for a big batch that's a process and takes a while.

You could probably still sell them with an understanding that the gas port would have to be widened for lighter loads. Widening the hole shouldn't be that hard.

The last 12 inch barrel I got from you, I just got set up and been having gas issues. Nearly 100% it's a crap gas block that's the issue but always like to cover my bases.

Drilling the gas port out to 0.076" solved the issues! Got the SA AGB set, 3/4 MOA @ 100 yds with ELD-M this past weekend, happyhappy!! Bosch cobalt bit had 0 problems with the nitride...

Shipped the whole lot to the factory to have them open them up for me as a favor. Went back to my previous .073 sweet spot.
