What's Everyone Using for Calls?

I primarily hunt coyotes and currently use a FoxPro X2S and a Lucky Duck Super Revolt to mix up sounds. I've been thinking about getting some hand calls like the Reese Outdoors Surge Series. Anyone have recommendations or experience with hand calls?

I've never tried calling hogs...just spot and stalk. Any luck with calling hogs?

I've been wondering the same things. I had a Primos dying rabbit call that regularly summoned all the local crows when I was a kid. Actually just ordered a Rabbid Rabbit Extreme from Carver Calls, I know they are highly regarded but don't have it yet.

Glenn Guess from Decatur, Texas, is one of the foremost authorities on calling hogs, and I have had good success using his hog calls. I use The Bullet by Convergent Hunting Solutions because they have exclusive access to Glenn's sound files.

I'm currently using a FoxPro Patriot. Also have one of those convergent bullets. Never had any luck calling pigs with it though. I prefer the dedicated remote on the FoxPro.

I have tried to call in hogs with a Convergent several times in several states with no luck at all

In South Georgia on a big peanut field, on 2 separate occasions no joy at all. I could see the pigs, they would stop and look up but not take a step in my direction. We still walked up on the pigs and killed a couple of them.

I ended up giving the Convergent Bullet to my favorite ex-wife’s husband.

I also have the Bullet HP and have only been successful calling in lone boars, all but 1 at night. Haven't tried calling predators but do get the curious deer, bobcat or coyote to come see what in the heck all the racket is from a hog call sound. It's been a while since Glenn has put any hog hunting videos on YT (Hog Zombies) or released any new sounds. Wonder what the deal is.

I’m really not a big fan of electronic calls, hand calls seem to work best for me.

They have done an excellent job marketing their products.

I'm not sure where the OP lives or what is being called but if it is anything like western Montana, everyone and their brother is out blasting the sounds of a jackrabbit or cotton-tail. The coyotes are so used to the sounds, the coyotes will vacate their area as soon as they hear it. Depending on the time of year, I have good luck with sounds like coyote pups, housecats and fawn bleats. I have also had luck with a simple quail call or turkey call for foxes, bobcats and coyotes. Think about the tender critters in your area and figure out different sounds you could try. You won't believe what you can call with a cow elk squeal!

For e calls i have a foxpro fusion and x2s and a lucky duck revolt.
For hand calls, i have calls made by Tony Tebbe, Robert patrick, timber freak, riley matthews, crooked creek, travis alzate and a coyote other smaller custom call makers, plus the ol reliable dogdown call from the u.k

Unless Convergent has gotten a lot better in the last couple of years, they need pretty much direct line of sight with your phone. So if you have them out more than half of their range and you have weeds in the way or you put your phone in your pocket, the bluetooth signal can be blocked and you can lose connection.

Have a foxpro scorpion X1A I've been using for years, worked fine a couple weeks ago for a couple of night hunts. Really haven't looked around to see what is new to the market might have to do some research to see what's out there now.
