How is the Preferred Barrel working for you? I would appreciate a photo of the top of the rifle to get an idea how it looks (I am assuming you are using the barrel nut assembly). I saw the barrel twist ratio was available all the way to 7 twist which should work with the heavy bullets. Speaking of heavy bullets are they needed at the Ram line? I got a deal on some 123s and bought a bunch and a few boxes of 130s also. I now have everything either here or in transit EXCEPT powder.... I am ready to scare some chickens! (more likely make them squawk with laughter)
Edit to add - found and bought a few CZ mags and am in line for the next run of the bottom metal conversion.

Just from reading your original post I would say get a MDT LSS chassis and lightweight everything else. It is working very well for me and they are exceptionally accurate. You must go through the break-in. They give you her instructions if you want the best results. Some say it's Voodoo I say it's fact and my rifle shoots and there's doesn't. Maybe there's does but not as good as mine. I will not prove what I have because it proves it to me and that's all that matters. I hit what I need to get every time and it makes me a better shooter. Those that don't believe in the breaking. Need to look at a different rifle.

NRA HP Silhouette Hunter class does not allow any chassis type stocks. No adjustable cheekpieces or buttplates. Pretty stringent set of rules which basically are meant to insure the stock is something that would be suitable for a "conventional" hunting stock.

Does the B&C M-40 fit the HB Model or is there some sanding to do? Thank You

That is what i bought and it fits well and seems well built also. I spent an extra 35 (I think) and got mine with a LoP of 14.5. Im very pleased.

Mine fit fine with no sanding on HB barrel.

Haven't been on this forum for quite some time, but when I read this thread, it prompted me to log-in so I could reply. I bought a Boyds Prairie Hunter in royal jacaronda laminate to use on a Mini that I'd re-barreled to 22 Grendel, got it bedded, and shot with it a bit, then decided that I didn't care for the rather open radius pistol grip, so pulled the bbl'd action out and bedded it into a B&C M40 style stock, which I prefer to the Boyds. So, the Boyds is surplus to my needs. Next time I have time, I'll post a for sale thread in the classifieds.
After using a couple of B&C M40 style stocks on a 6.5 Grendel that I re-barreled with a Bartlein 1-8tw bbl in Remington Magnum Sporter contour bbl, and as mentioned, the 22 grendel, I decided to try the newer B&C Sporter for a Mini in 223AI that I barreled with a Krieger #4 sporter contour. 1-8tw bbl, finished at 24". It's got a very slightly more open radius pistol grip, but is comfortable, and I like the slimmer forearm. I did have to sand the bbl channel slightly larger to hold the #4 bbl, but it was pretty quick and easy, and I'm happy with it.
