Overgassed gun help: Problem solved

Hey guys! Just got my Grendel V3 together and ran some test shots through it. The accuracy was absolutely outstanding. Two five round groups, .3 and .4 MOA at 50 yards. Anyways, on to the gas issue.

I sat down for the first shot expecting the gun to not even try to cycle. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the bolt back and found a fresh round ready to go.

Here’s my gas system setup:
16” Odin Works barrel, intermediate gas
Odin works Adjustable gas block all the way closed
Rifle buffer, +2 steel weights and spacer removed
Gemtech suppressed bolt carrier, set to suppressed
.30 cal Sandman TI suppressor

The gun cycles as configured and is leaving ejector burrs and light chamber rings on ~1/3 of the brass.

My first instinct is to pull the buffer apart and start adding tungsten weights to delay unlocking even longer.

What would you guys do?

Sounds like the AGB is completely on/open.

You should always start shooting with an AGB all the way open. Doing that, if your gas port in the barrel is too small you will know right away without waisting ammo. As Klem says, it sounds more like the block is all the way open and you should be turning it closed. The suppressor is going to give you more back pressure in the gas system. Get the gun running properly without the suppressor to eliminate that variable in the mix, then once the rifle cycles to your liking put it back on and adjust as needed.

Don't feel too bad - I blew this at first too. "I'm adjusting the screw, why is nothing changing!?" Wasn't until the outer screw fell out, that I discovered it was the lock screw for the inner screw!
