Thanks for having me in the group. I’m semi new to the Grendel game and trying to soak up as much as I can. I have one in AR and just picked up a Howa just to play with something g different. I’ve been working up some hand loads but haven’t found that magic recipe yet.

Welcome to the forum dchilds7930! Two bullets that tend to shoot well in any 6.5 Grendel is the 120 grain Sierra Match King and 90 grain Speer TNT. Another accurate bullet for me is the 120 grain Sierra Pro Hunter. My go to load is a 123 grain AMAX/ELD/M and 31.0 grains of CFE223 with CCI 450 primers.

Other popular powders for the 6.5 Grendel, AR Comp, IMR8208XBR, H-4895, Accurate 2520, Benchmark, H-335, Power Pro Varmint. There is a lot of loading data on this forum which contains loads with these and other powders and about any 6.5/.264 bullet.

Welcome to the clan, DC7, from another metro-captive. What part of DFW are you in? There are a lot of Grendelizers in the greater DFW area in all directions. I'm in central Collin County. What are your goals and, if you haven't already done so, pick up copies of the Grendel Handbook, Vol's 1 and 2. There is a great amount of data in 'em.
