Whats up guys. Doing my friend Grendel build. Mostly for coyote hunting. So far I have a aero precision upper and spikes lower. Aero buffer and spring and magpul stock.
Looking to buy a barrel and bcg next. I know if I purchase together the head space will be correct. I would rather not have to worry about that after. What barrel and bcgdo you guys recommend? I pretty set on 18 inch barrel. Looking for middle of the pack. Not garbage but no the best.

Welcome! I think you would get better responses with a price range for a barrel. Ballistic advantage and faxon both sell good products. You can check Saturn/liberty. I dont like them but many people have had success with them. Rainer arms has several barrels in various price ranges. Wilson combat has excellent barrels. No one has ever complained about mark at precision firearms (custom barrels with various cost blanks). You could check out monster barrels from the site here or the group buy that should happen soon for lilja barrels. There is just so many options. Personally, I recommend going with a barrel manufacture or someone proven like precision firearms.
I have done several budget friendly builds for friends/family using ballistic advantage barrels with excellent end results. I have built one from an Odin works barrel without any issues. Headspace is generally not an issue as long as the type matches.
I would recommend that you spend as much as you can on the barrel and trigger.

I wouldn't get anything other than precision firearms. Use the weight time to save more to cover the cost but worth every penny.

When you say as long as the type matches what do you mean? As long as the barrel and bcg are type 2 regardless of brand they should be ok?

Could have worded that better. There are type 1 and type 2 bolts. Long story short they have different headspace. Most are type 2. Just something to check. Monster, toolcraft, jp enterprise, and any other reputable manufacture have good bolts. If you are going with a higher end barrel they will typically come with a matching bolt.
