need a little help

i have a j&T upper with a shaw barrel and i dont know what thread it is to get a muzzel break. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

The standard 6.5 Grendel muzzle thread is 9/16-24. Some makers use 5/8-24, though. Not a definitive answer, but at least it narrows it down to two!

Find a local machine shop as most of them will have thread guages. Surely they would check it for you and very possibly at no cost. Would rather be right than wrong.

I just checked J & T's web site on their 6.5 Grendel barrels. Their web site shows 9/16-24 thread. Look at barrels only it says in the description.

You can also confirm the thread diameter with a micrometer.
