Are you talking for a .224 diameter? Or do you mean a 165gr sierra hp?

Shoot for somewhere between 30.0-31.0 gr of 8208 XBR.
Have seen some reports of guys going over 31gr but since you cannot believe everything you read on internet I’m going to caution you to work up to what your rifle likes.
Maybe start with 29-29.5gr.
What brass, primer?

ar 15 with 18" wilson combat barrel hornady brass 450 cci primers. would the 31 gr be compressed? i,m currently useing 95 gr vmax with 29.5 of 8208xbr witch shoot really good but out of bullets and can,t find any , unless you know where i can get some. have a bunch of these 85. gr hp bought at auction. would not have a problem going with a differnt powder if i can find it

this reloading use to be a lot easier when you could go out and get anything you want instead of looking on internet just to find anything , not only costing a a lot more

No data for 8208 xbr and 85gr.

8208 xbr and 100gr max charge is 28.3gr.

I wouldn't go higher than 29.3gr.

I definitely wouldn't go up to 31gr.

ended up finding some 10x powder loaded 3 different loads ended up with 27.5 gr. never set chron. up but they are shooting really well 1/2 t0 3/4 groups at a hundred yrds. loaded a few with 28.5 gr. of8208 xbr didnt shoot real good . still looking for some 95 gr. vmax
