Howa Mini Trigger

I will say the Howa Mini has a nice trigger. Seems to average about 2.25 pounds out of the box.

The HACT trigger on my Howa mini is a consistent 3lbs. It's more consistent than the Geissele SSA-E triggers I have in 2 of my ARs.

I don’t have a howa mini but in my howa 308 the hact trigger is actually pretty nice, not 300$ nice like a jewel imo but nice enough I’m probably never going to mess with it.

My first Mini had a decent HCT trigger. The second one...not so much. I believe the previous owner "tweaked" it. I replaced it with a Timney and have never looked back. I have always preferred a single stage trigger though.

I have 4 Howas and I really like the way the HACT trigger feels on all of them. I just assembled my first 6.5 Grendel on AR platform and I was wondering if any of you guys have found a 2-stage AR trigger that most closely mimics the feel and pull weight of a Howa HACT?

Do you think basically any 2 stage trigger around 3 lbs should feel about the same or are there other factors that change how it would feel?

peruse Brownell's catalog for 2 stage match triggers for the AR.

I put a Foxtrot Mike FM-9 two stage match trigger in mine and I like it, but Foxtrot Mike has discontinued production of them

If you call Brownells I'm sure they could recommend a good 2 stage trigger in your price range.

I have the 1.5lb Gun Bloke (eBay Australia) spring kit in mine and it’s nice. I’ll swap it to a Timney single stage at some point though….

I tried a 1lbs spring from Gunsmoke but wasn't reliable in mine. I clipped the factory spring and it's now a nice 1.25lbs trigger

I have Rock River 2 stage triggers in multiple AR lowers, great triggers and easy to install.

I have no idea what a Howa feels like, but you can't go wrong with a "Geissele DMR Hi-Speed National Match - Trigger Set"
