Question, Has anybody tried using small pistol primers in their AR?

or for the 6.5GRRR cartridge? I don't want to hear about guess work, does a small Winchester pistol primer have enough flame to work like a small Winchester rifle primer? I have used WIN small rifle primers without any issues at all from my AR 6.5GRRR, this is just a thought, I'd like to hear you answers! from people with knowledge and not a guess!

Primer cup is to soft, you might get slam fires if you use them. But you can use rifle primers in a pistol, just don't use pistol primers in a rifle.

I have been using CCI500 Small Pistol in 300BLK subsonics and would use them in Grendel if I did not have access to rifle primers.

I ran a difference test between the two at the same time/place. The Small Rifle 450's were 18fps hotter than 500 pistol which makes sense if this old table is correct. The 500's are not CCI's magnum pistol. The poster of the chart on another forum did not say where the table came from but it matches my results;

The thicker magnum cups help with slam-fires but that occurrence it as rare as hens teeth.

Have no experience using Winchester SP in a rifle but I imagine it will be fine, and something else will break in an AR long before the primer does. As for consistency of powder burn, again no experience with Win but would be interesting to find out.

This vid is what I would have expected. Pistol cartridges go around 10000-15000 psi, something on that order. Rifles, 40,000 psi+.
I don't even know why this test would be needed since now primers are coming online fairly regularly, true not at 2019 prices but then again hamburger and everything else costs more also. Thank you Hidinbidin for all that non-inflation!!!
