For over a year I’ve been buying and hoarding Grendel ammo every chance I got for a rifle I had built when the pandemic had started. It had 10 rounds through it just to make sure it would shoot and check the scope on it.
Today I decided to shoot some not much but maybe 50 rounds and it felt good. What an amazing cartridge the Grendel is and it’s good for the soul to get out by myself and relax some while flinging some lead.
Got the gas block set, checked function on all my mags finding 1 that failed to hold open on the last round.
Wrap it up what a beast this round is and this rifle is hungry. Great way to start a day

I shoot mostly hand loads in my 6.5 Grendels. Fortunately I stocked up on loading components before this current environment. I’m close enough to Sierra in Sedalia Mo to buy factory seconds which make good blasting ammo for shorter distances. I’ve also bought quite a few Nosler overrun and blem bullets from Shooters Pro Shop.


I agree it is nice to get out and casually shoot a few rounds of 6.5 Grendel.

I also reload just didn’t have a chance to stalk up on components for my Grendal.
I’m trying to buy some here and there but man it’s like looking for mystical creatures at times lol
