I installed an Adam Arms piston on my 18" Grendel that was over gassed. It worked fine, but once I discovered Adj gas blocks I returned it to the original internal piston "DI" gas system. Gas pistons recoil more, add more weight, are inherently less accurate and can cause other problems. I have done a 180 with my belief in piston AR rifles....

Kinda this. Never was a fan of the technological step back to piston, personally.

As above.

Not on the Grendel but 5.56 and 300BLK. Took it off after realizing there was no benefit. On the contrary, it was heavy, chunky and with a suppressor the action was just as filthy.
