Hi all,

Glad to find this forum, looks like lots of knowledge and inspiration to be found. I’ve got .223 and BO, now looking to replace my recently traded .308 with Grendel. I’m hopeful the forum can steer me towards the right model, shouldn’t be too long a process as options here in Australia are limited.

I’ll start throwing some questions about after I’ve spent a bit of time going through the site, if I may.

Welcome to the forum Matt, the Howa Mini Action and Cz are popular. I haven’t read of the Ruger 6.5 Grendel being available in Australia but I like the looks of the 16” Ruger with threaded barrel plus it uses AR-15 pattern 6.5 Grendel magazines.

Welcome to the clan, M0, from the great nation of Texas! A number of us across these pages have the Howa Grendel. It does well at scratching most itches. A re-barreled CZ seems more common in your part of the world. Either way, you'll be happy with the results - you did not state what the object of the exercise is - hunting fur / hunting paper / ?
