Hello from SW Florida

Hey everyone. Brian here from SW Florida. I've taken an interest in learning about the 6.5 Grendel recently. I'm ordinarily a vanilla AR guy (.223 / 5.56), but lately I've been lusting after the precision and range that I've read so much about surrounding the 6.5G. I hope to learn a lot from everyone here.

Welcome to the forum 7Kings! If your to shoot longer range 600+ yards I recommend a quality barrel at least 18”-20” in length. Many scopes will run out of elevation around 700-800 yards at sea level so I usually use one piece 20 MOA mounts.

Welcome to the clan, 7k, from the great nation of Texas! The Grendel will check all the boxws you're listing. And then, when you've built one for 1000 yds, you will open your toy box and find that there's another for those 50 yd shots and you'll have no idea how it got there. And then there'll be another for dark-side hawg chasin' and then .....

Thanks for the welcome. It's funny - I'm trying to decide between a 6.5G upper or building out the .243 Win Savage I have in the safe, but now there's that little voice in the back of my head whispering, "why not do both?"...
