New to the forum. Long time shooter. I used to shoot competitively in Skeet, IPSC, and some Bowling Pin. Mainly shoot rifle from the bench now. Been somewhat idle the last year due to the Pandemic and anxiously waiting to get back to the range. Just had a major surgery on the right side of my neck, so am waiting for Doctors okay to get back out.

Currently have calibers from all the common rimfire...22 LR, 17 HMR, and 22 Mag. CF Rifle from 204 Ruger up to 9.3 X 62.

Have had a terrible hankering for a 6,5 Grendel the last couple of years and am about ready to pull the trigger on one so to speak. Looking at the Ruger American Predator or Howa Mini. I will likely restock either. Here to learn more to make a more informed decision and learn from people who have been shooting this caliber for awhile.

Welcome to the Horde. The Grendel will handle most of the game encountered in Texas, would not be my choice for Nilgai. Hogs and deer it works real good.

Target I have only taken mine to 600 yards but they are very good to 800 and can do well at 1000 yards but not compete with the faster rounds.

Watch out when getting into the Grendel, they seem to multiply.
