Well after perusing this site for months and months, I finally found a 6.5 Grendel in stock and purchased it. I was back and forth between it and the Howa, but finally decided on the CZ after watching a ton of reviews on the accuracy of it and knowing if I purchased the Howa, I'd have to have a Pendleton stock, drop plate and trigger...
I've searched the forum and not found a post on which rail would be best for the CZ. I do not want to just use mounts, so it's going to have to have a rail.
DIP and EGW seem to have a decent one and didn't know if one was preferred over the other.
Cannot wait to shoot this gun and turn it into my dedicated varmint rifle. First wood stock gun I've purchased since the early 90's and that felt weird, but oh so good too!

EGW makes good stuff but I have not tried CZ 527 rail. The DIP has worked well for me and is an easy install. Depending on how far you plan on shooting just know quite a few of the one inch scopes might run out of travel if you get the 25MOA rail, it worked great for my 30mm target turret scopes but the standard 1" scope I wanted to use ran out of adjustment before being on.

I have used both rails and prefer the DIP product.
My rifle came with a beautiful walnut stock. First thing I did was take it off and put a bell&carlson stock on it, I dont baby my hunting guns.
The adjustable trigger is amazing and the set trigger function is adjustable separately of the normal function and on my rifle is simple out of this world for shooting tiny lil groups.

You like the Bell and Carlson stock? I love this trigger and thanks I'm going to oder the DIP right now! Appreciate the help and look forward to getting this thing shooting!

As a routine, I ditch the SST's on my 527's and install a Timney. I like the position of the trigger.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find one in-stock?
Looking for either a CZ or a Howa. I saw Brownells has Howa micro actions back in stock but concerned about finding a Good affordable stock.

I have used both rails and either work. Something you might consider is having some of the rail notched out/machined directly over the ejection port to give you a little more room to get your finger into the action if there is a feeding issue.
I have a couple of 527's (.223) outfitted in the Kevlar stocks (HS Precision and the B&C). I really like the kevlar stock so much better than the wood. The M40 grip angle makes the difference. My Howa Mini (6.5 Grendel) also sports the B&C stock.

I live in MO and it was in Ozark! I called and messaged so many shops to find the CZ. I about fell over when they said they had one in stock. The Howa, I was jut going to order from Brownells. I found the varmint on GunBroker, but I just didn't want to pay the extra and the shipping, so glad I didn't pull the trigger right away!

Love the stock.
You can look back through my past started threads and find all kinds of info on my cz rifle.
Much as I love this gun, I'm soon to be finding it a new home. Time for a new toy.
