Which mags do you use?

I use seventeen round E-Lander and twenty round CPD/Duramag 6.5 Grendel mags the most. I also use my ten round E-Lander and ASC ten round mags as I mostly shoot from the bench with my 6.5 Grendel. The ASC, CPD/ and E-L mag design seem good but there are mags that slip out with quality control issues. I suggest you buy your mags from vendors with good customer service in the event you get a lemon.

I have several of the E-L and ASC 24/25 round 6.5 Grendel mags but don’t use them as much as my shorter mags. The AR Stoner mags are rebranded ASC.

E-Lander or ASC. Just be mindful if you get the ASC mags, I've gotten some from well known vendors that were clearly blems that got through QC and I've ordered blems on purpose directly from ASC and they look as if they could be sold as new. The E-Landers are also sold under other names as well, same mag different name stamped on it, just like the ASC's.

I have a handful of the ASC 15-round bodies blocked to 10 rounds (for CA) and they work great. I love the 15/17 round mag bodies as they give you a bit more to grab onto than the short 10 rounders, but don't interfere with prone shooting like the 25+ round bodies.

Never had a issue with my 25 rd ASC mags, but usually only load 20 rds.

I've messed around with 17rd/10rd elanders, and 25/10 rd ASC magazines... I've always loaded them to max capacity and have had no issues. The E-Lander ones definitely have stiffer springs, but I haven't had that make a difference yet.

I use C products defense duramag 10 and 26 rounders, been good so far.

Only catch would be fixed mag, in which I completely understand the situation as to why you would have kept them blocked.

All my E-lander 10s & 17s, CPD 10s, 20s & 26s and ASC straight 15s run fine.
Only issue is the ASC straight 15 prefers to stay at 12 rounds or less but that’s not uncommon for that particular mag.

I rarely load my original C Products fifteen round mags with more than ten rounds. My CP mags will only accept fourteen rounds but my ASC fifteen round mags will accept fifteen. I read that the original C Products mags counted the chambered cartridge in their listed capacity. Regardless my five round mag only holds four and the twenty five round CP mag only holds twenty four. I only bought five C Products mags before CP was taken over by ASC. I think I bought the C Products mags in 2010 when I bought my first 6.5 Grendel.

I have my fair share of Freedom Week magazines, but these particular ones came pretty permanently "fixed". I didn't want to risk destroying perfectly good mags that are fine for hunting & target shooting just to gain some more capacity. I have other mags for that. Besides, I try to have at least a few 10-rounders for each firearm I own in case the laws change (again) or if I go anywhere that I might worry about attention from an overzealous or uninformed LEO. It sucks that we have to worry about these things, but I'm just trying to make the best of a lousy situation.

I like the ASC twenty five round mags (Or are they twenty four rounders?). Haven't had a problem with them using steel or brass cased ammunition. Out of the twenty I have, one of them was a little slow feeding Wolf the first few times but it's stopped since, probably the follower breaking in if I had to guess.

I use both ASC 15 round mags and E-lander 10 and 17 round mags. Both work well, rarely a failure to feed, but I prefer the ASC mags because I can load the cartridges to a longer OAL than the E-landers that I have, which are strictly limited to an OAL of 2.260. While I occasionally load the mags to full capacity, I usuall only load 5 rounds for shooting groups off a rest

I have E-Lander mags. High capacity and 10 capacity. All high capacity mags work good. Had a bad 10 capacity mag. I junked the mag but saved the internals (spring/follower/etc).

The high capacity ones I have are solid. That was the main reason why I went with a Grendel. Precision carbine.
