Mel, apologies if you already mentioned it, but what brand is your scope base? I like the clean look and the millions of screws.

its a tac vector , ( cheap) works great it was the only thing i could find resonably priced for a 35mm tube. wanted it as low as possible for when i added the 30 moa base

as some already know i got 2/nd and 3rd degree burns on my wrist and 50% of my hand a lil while back so i havent been doing much of anything and prolly be a few more weeks before i do any shooting as well

ive been having to wrap it for work since i burnt it , last 2 days ive left it unwrapped and its doing much better ,i have goten feeling back in about 75% of what was burnt so thats good basically no feeling frommy pinky down to my wrist yet hopefully that comes back

quick update stamp got approved so ill do a build thread on the can i was going to do a 6mm specific build on the can but i did it as a 30 cal can instead of 6mm so i can use it on everything and i wanted to put it on the shorty with my frt trigger my other can wont hold up to that kind of abuse

I'm really tempted to pick up one of those scratch and dent 20" ARC barrels, my 21" Odin is 17 ounces heavier.... Too heavy for field use with a can on the end. I'd really like an 18" of the same lighter profile though, any chance those might be in the pipeline at some point?

Yes...this. Even a 16". I have 24" & 20" SS HB's...wanting a light weight standard profile quick & easy to wield option.

Thanks I looked at those in the group buy section, but I thought they had mid-length gas. I run everything suppressed, and even though I use AGBs, I generally have better luck with the timing on longer gas systems. I was looking for at least a rifle length 18", or intermediate length 16". Proof probably has more experience with this round than any company and opted for a rifle length 16" and +1 18".

Is your Lilja a mid length? If so do you run it suppressed, and have you had any issues getting the cycle dialed in?

It is a mid length and I do not run it suppressed. I do have it dialed in, but it's a bit of a different creature since I'm using a 2A Arms titanium adjustable bolt carrier and a Taccom Ultralight weight buffer and spring (it recoils like butter and the return to battery dip is almost non-existent). Once I found my load (Varget and 105 RDFs), I haven't played with anything else. And I simply did 100 fireforming loads for break in and then started on that combo. My experience with my 18" 243 LBC with an MLGS is that faster powders result in more port pressure and timing issues.

I'm a big fan of Proof, but I've been beginning to think that all of their different gas systems are a bit of "look at how smart we are" marketing. The fact that they recommend a full Mass carrier with all of their barrels is a bit of a headscratcher to me.
