This is the direction you can go, correct? Before the cries of why would you do that, I have a superfluous spare 0.125" bolt for my 243 LBC which I bought before I finally found spare extractors. The only thing I would need to put a Monster 6 ARC pistol together in addition to the barrel would be a gas tube if this works.
I'm making ARC brass out of Grendel already for my 16", so I'd be bumping, necking and trimming no matter what I bolt I would use. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would simply need to size a few to ARC SAAMI minimum minus 0.011, shoot 'em and get my measurements and settings from there. Brass segregation would be easy as I've found x39 brass feels much more at home with a x39 bolt and I've got a stash of Virgin Starline.....

That's what I would do.
If you don't already have the barrel you could contact them and ask to have it chambered for the shallower bolt. That would avoid the extra case squashing and let you shoot factory ammo.

Klem, what's a "factory ammo"? I have heard the term used here but am unfamiliar with it myself.
This would be one of BFTs group buy barrels so the headspace is what it is. Just thinking I could put a spare part to use rather than buy a bolt. I have three 0.125" bolts and only need the one that's in service plus one spare.

Factory ammo is ammo made by a commercial organization and retailed in shops (made in a factory) - not hand-loads. The ammo will be sized at the factory to SAAMI specs and to fit all likely chambers, so will be fairly sloppy in most chambers.
Your group-buy barrel will have been chambered for a 0.136" bolt so making it shorter by using a 0.125" bolt may not permit factory ammo to go into full battery and fire. I say may because it depends on where in the permitted range the gunsmith has reamed that chamber. Grendel, SAAMI permits a variance of 0.01" in chamber headspace; Min 1.2201" to Max 1.2301". SAAMI also specifies cartridge length as 1.220" Max, with up to .007" more headspace permitted. Theoretically then, the gunsmith could ream the chamber to the max 1.2301" and the ammunition manufacturer squash the cases to the min 1.213" and it's all still within spec. So, longest chamber with shortest ammunition is 0.017" of headspace. The difference in the two types of bolts is only 0.011". You might be lucky and get factory ammo to function reliably through your gun with a 0.125" bolt but the likelihood the gunsmith has gone generous with the chamber, and the manufacturer has gone tightest with the ammo is unlikely. More likely the bolt wont go into battery and you will have to use handloads only with that bolt. But, it is worth a try and perfectly safe.
If you have a box of factory ammo on hand let us know if it functions reliably through your group buy barrel with the 0.125" bolt.

Joining this party late......... but for $55 to BFT I'd just get the extra Monster bolt.

You've missed the point of the thread. It's not about how much a new bolt costs, it's about the path of least resistance; whether his shorter bolts will work.
