First of all, they will not go door to door and confiscate your AR 15 if they ban them. The only thing that they would try, and I don’t think it’ll go this far,is telling you that you need to register your previously owned AR 15. And they may offer a free or discounted registration if you act in the first 90 days. Only an imbecile would take that offer. Registration is the first step to confiscation.
If you have a stamp or a registration, they could come to your house like they did in New York City and take what they feel is theirs,because they know you own that item without a shadow of a doubt. And they will hold you responsible for it.
As far as background checks. I was talking to my buddies at tactical shop. They keep those for three years. And there are so many background checks being done, it would be damn near impossible to seek everyone out that ever had a background check to buy a weapon.
It’s the registration that you need to worry about. Registration will be the first step to confiscation. I am worried about the 5 suppressors I own. Because they have tax stamps which are registered with ATF. If they want them back, all they have to do is knock on my door and I have no choice but to surrender them. Not so with the guns. Because no one knows what I own. But if you own suppressors, that gives them an idea that you have at least a weapon or two.
Still, I don’t think it’s going to go to far. We have to wait till after the Senate runoff in Georgia. If the Republicans keep the Senate, and two years, I believe the Republicans will win back the house and still keep the Senate. Diaper face Joe Biden is going to be the worst president in history. He’s a stumbling bumbling idiot.And I really don’t think headboard Harris is capable of doing anything either. It’s all about the house and senate.

I've no doubt about the bastards lining up for the gun grab of the Century. They might get away with the AR Pistol with Brace @ $200. But I'd imagine the Hi Cap Mags being an AOW @ $5 ???? I'm thinking since they've got to be serialized, I could have some real fun with those. Especially when a SN doesn't have to be all numbers ????

i hope you all realize that Biden and Pelosi will require (if they have their way) either surrendering your AR or paying an NFA tax on it and having it's address being public knowledge per NFA rules. and the same for each magazine. and you can't let anyone else use it or you become a felon and they take it away anyway. so an AR + 10 mags (most people i know with ARs have that) would cost $2200.00 just for the "privilege" of having it. and now all the crooks can look up and see where it is to steal it from you. and if they do steal it, and you don't report it within 48 hours (you better never go on vacation again) you become a felon and they take away everything that the crooks haven't stolen. welcome to Amerika comrade. :-( This election has really saddened me. sorry to vent.

I know this is an older post, but there's one thing I'd like to mention. My thoughts about the Hi Cap Mags are; they'd probably fall into the AOW category and be taxed @ $5 a piece. Nevermind how many weapons we own. Can you imagine the monstrous pile of paperwork this will generate? ????????????????

Can't look at this in a vacuum. The second Biden tries something the NRA and other pro gun organizations will drop dozens of law suits and this will end up at the Supreme Court.

Bush put a temporary halt to the importation of some rifles and that is way different than a Presidential Order banning and confiscation.

For now, gun owners need to get behind a legitimate pro gun organization that has a record of winning politically and in a court. And get involved. Sending five or ten bucks to the NRA no longer cuts it. Protest and become active in ensuring Biden and his fellow travelers understand that we as gun owners will not tolerate their trashing of our freedom.
