Finally got my grendel finished, sort of.

Took most of the year to get everything I wanted and lurking here was a big help. Even though it was a little breezy I zeroed the scope this afternoon. Build is as follows:

Venom Defense 7075 upper and lower
JP full mass BCP
Giessle super duty lower kit, buffer tube, buffer and spring
Larue 2 stage trigger
Lancer Systens carbon handguard
Magpul bipod
Magpul PS3 stock
Proof Research 20" carbon barrel
Steiner T5xi 5-25 x 56mm scope
Larue quick detach scope and bipod mounts
Epsilon VG6 muzzle device
Norrell's moly resin finish, burnt bronze

It sort of morphed into a bit of a monster because of conditions I put on this build (everything made in America, which except for the scope [Czech] glass) and I wanted to do everything myself despite never having or using a scope before. It was a heck of a lot of fun.

Interesting build. swap the scope for a Leupold and you'll be all american made. how much does your rig weigh? I'm curious. as far as DIY, it is kind of fun, isn't it? did you lap the upper extension tube face? did you glue in the extension? (Loctite 609). rifle buffer and spring? RLGS? what gas block did you use? and adjustable one? what's the twist rate on the Proof research?

Twist rate is 8, areo standard gas block for now, I have a Seekins adjustable to try next, did not lap face, did glue extension. Carbine buffer and tube.

And yes, it was loads of fun!
