bought a vepr 23 inch 6.5 Grendel. sent it off immediately for some front end work. FSGB and 18in barrel
didn't know some em came to USA like the photo. anyway was always interested in this round for the last few years. giddy up!

Welcome to the forum TexasSlinger! I guess you’ve seen the Csspecs magazine. Palmetto State Armory and another company in the US are supposed to release 6.5 Grendel AK’s. I think the 6.5 Grendel is a great cartridge for the AK especially now that magazines are available.

hoping to get this bad boy out to 500 yd. Houston area. Thank you for the info on mags. i have been eyeing the 20 rd and 30 rd, just waiting for them to be in stock. My rifle will NOT have a bullet guide added on so Ill be just looking at vepr mags if that makes a difference. I already have a converted saiga that takes 556 ak mags (circle10, Beryl etc). the AKsmith will be going to work the next 4-6 weeks or so. So I'll definitely be posting some pics. and range time
