decided i want a short barreled grendel , so the plan here is this
10.5 1-8t pistol lenght barrel ( ordered last night )
adjustable gasblock (have)
sba4 brace ( on the way )
dpms lower ( have )
for the upper im going to order the same billet upper im using on my 28 inch build and use that on my 20" and take the forged upper off that for the pistol
7 inch k&m tactical m-lok hg ( on the way )

for this build im thinking a set of flip up iron sights and maybe a red dot, or at most maybe a 4x scope of some kind

should have this together in the next week or so unliek the 28 build that took forever to get a barrel for

brace and pistol mags showed up today got the lower assembled gota take a pic of that , now juust waiting on barrel and gas tube to get here along with my 7" mlok handguard

I suspect you will need to be throwing 95gr ish pills judging by the barrel length to get respectable fps? Don't know much about shorty grendels

alls im prolly going to shoot out of this is mostly wolf steel cased , i may try some 90g varmagedons or tnts out of it as well for some varmint work around the farm if this barrel is accurate enough for that , main purpose of this is a close range defense rifle err i mean pistol

handquard and barrel shims arrive monday , barrel is schedualed for delivery on tuesday , hopefully be testing this tuesday night

i ended up grabbing a 10.5 with pistol gas from classic firearms , more then likley its a bca , normally i would have waited for something better but i want this pistol done before i leave for 18days in las vegas for the holidays , chances are i will pick up a 12.5 from bft to replace it when i get back

not sure if my barrel will be here today , fedex says its schd for delivery today but the only tracking event was the day it was picked up so i doubt it

That brace looks great. Fold the ears inward and tighten up the velcro strap makes it way more comfy.

tracking on barrel went to pending and still hasnt changed form package picked up , really hope fedex didnt lose my barrel

this thing is an absolute hoot to shoot, i didnt put any kind of muzzle device on it and its freaking loud , not to mention huge fireballs

If you're not gonna suppress it definitely get a linear comp/ forward blast diverter. I use a Troy Claymoore and several SAA dragons breath blast diverters and just recently got a Whitt Machine SME but haven't tested it yet.

im torn on supressing it or just putting as comp on it , prolly just put a kaw valley comp on it and call it good

temp cheap red dot till proper optic arrives
3 rd group on steel at 75y , 3 prong flashhider /qd mount does a good job of taming muzzle blast and fireball

Not sure what suppressor you use but check minimum barrel length. My thunder beast arms ultra 7 has a minimum length of 11.5" for 6.5 grendel.

its my form 1 can , i havent shot with it on the pistol yet and prolly wont i just threw it on for a pic since i had the flashhider/qd mount on the gun , i belive a 10.5 barrel would over pressure the body of this can
