Been looking for the last couple months for a decent deal on a do all scope for my Grendel. I absolutely love the Grendel and want to make it my go to gun, right now its has more of a target scope than a hunting scope and I decided to change that and put that scope over on my 6.5 CM for target shooting. I looked at the primary arms scopes and liked them but decided against them for a better warranty. I also looked at the Vortex ,which has a good warranty but wasnt really restocked, and Athlon but read a few bad reviews on them. I watched a ton of videos on YouTube and was leaning towards a Vector Taurus or a Bushnell nitro but then I ran across the Burris and remembered I had one on a 25-06 about 10 years ago and really liked it but traded the gun off. I found a Burris Optics Fullfield E1 Riflescope 4.5-14x42mm with the Long range reticle and the forever warranty which to me is a huge plus. The scope was priced right where I was looking to stay and pretty much all the features I was looking for and a no brainer warranty so I ordered it and itll be at my house on Friday. I went back and forth between ffp and sfp and went with the sfp because where I hunt 4.5x is plenty and when I shoot targets itll be cranked all the way up. The one thing that Ill have to do now is figure out the Moa lines and bullet drop for my rifle. Fun times are in my future.
I just got that E1 Burris and put it on a RAP in .223, really like it. Two things about the reticle, one it has very tiny numbers that I would have liked to be about twice the size, the other is I like how you can use the center to "box" in the target, makes it easier to put dots exactly in the center.
Also on the wish list is that it would parallax adjust closer than 50 yards. Overall it's great for the price ($189.99 on Amazon).
I've had a couple E1's and didn't really care for their optics, and another more tactical type that had a really stiff zoom adjustment and sold it also.
But I have a couple of Eliminators and love those. Not great optically, but that rangefinder is very nice and would be great on a Grendel. I bought one lightly used, and it didn't range for crap. Sent it in and got a new one back within a few weeks, so I can vouch for their warranty.
I have a Burris Fullfield 3-9x that came with my Savage MkII 22LR with the BDC reticle that has been solid over thousands of rounds & getting dragged through brush on hikes.
I recently picked up one of their new Bushnell Prime 1-4x scopes with the German #4 illuminated reticle that's manufactured in S.Korea. At a quick glance, it compares surprisingly well to my SWFA SS 1-4x scope that cost about twice as much. Progress in budget optics recently has been pretty impressive - I think you'll be happy with that Burris FF E1 for what it cost you. I've had my eye on a few scopes in the Burris XTR 2 series, which are really great values when you want to step up to the next tier.
I have a Burris XPS II in 5-25 (or something like that), on top of a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5CM. It's a big piece of glass, and the 5X is pretty high for the low-range usage, and I wish the reticle lit up the one time I tried to take it hunting. But I will say, the scope has served me very well. It holds zero well, it tracks well, the glass quality is phenomenal - best of all the scopes I have. I can't comment on the warrenty, never needed to use it.
I just received a Burris fullfield IV 2.5-10 X 42 with the illuminated E3 reticle. I haven't gotten in mounted up yet, but so far I love the look and feel of it and that reticle is really sweet.
I have a 2-7x32 ballistic plex mounted on my 45-70 Marlin sbl. I am impressed with it so far and would not hesitate to buy other scopes in their lineup.

I am looking for just the right 2-7, 2.5-8, etc but considering a higher grade 3-9 so bought the Burris to see if I like a 3-9 on my 16" pin and welded 34.25" Howa Mini project.

UPDATE: Cancelled the order, a very decent scope for so little money but just not going to do what I want. I did a ton of research on Burris, one of the best scope lines for the money there is.
Taking another good look at the 2-10x32 Sightron S-Tac I already have, going from 3-9, etc...I can live without the 10x but want to stay in the 1x, 1.5, 2.0 range at the bottom end and might go to 2.5 if actually close to that as many scopes sold are rounded down, few rounded up to actual magnification.
The S-Tac is a dang fine scope but I want illuminated and a bit less weight though it is not heavy at 16 ounces so going to list it for sale when I find the right scope for my needs.
I have a 3x9x40 Fullfield E1 on a 12 inch Grendel upper, it is a good scope. I typically prefer 2.5-10x Scopes on my rifles, But they don't make the Bushnell Elites anymore or Nikon scopes..So I am trying Burris scopes, they have a good reputation and good warranty.. I was looking at a Burris signature for a 350L upper but ended up Buying a Burris Fullfield 4 2.5-10 x 42mm with illuminated E3 retical. So far it seems good but the real test will be in the woods looking for hogs at or past last light. I am still thinking about the Burris signature scope..

I recently bought the same scope. Its mounted and I have only shot 3 times during bright sun light. I did look thru it in my back yard during low light and I think the Illuminated reticle going to work very well for me.
