Very strange. When I looked at Optic Planet's page yesterday, the lead time was the "11 - 20 days" to ship that I quoted. Today it's saying 5 - 7 weeks.

Even stranger, when I looked at the page on my iPad yesterday, the quoted price is $47.99 (still is today, BTW, on this device). But when pull up that page on my laptop right now, the price is $55.24. Same time, same MPN & UPC, two different devices, two different prices. Go figure. I suppose if I want one (I am in no hurry) I should order it via my iPad.

EDIT: Hilarious. Now, two hours later, Optics Planet is stating "10 - 17 days" to ship. I'm learning that we should ignore what they say about shipping lead times.

I couldn't resist. Ordered one from Optics Planet. I don't really need an adjustable GB for my upcoming build, but $48 with free shipping put it within $5-10 of my usual go-to, a BCM GB. And who knows. Might come in handy. I'm curious to see how long it actually takes to arrive. 5 - 7 weeks they're saying now. No rush on my end because I still need an upper receiver, and those seem to be even more scarce these days

Are these hand tightening only screws?

Happy2Shoot... You're right, you're wrong... LOL Set screws for gas blocks aren't knurled. They're installed using a hex-head (Allen Key) wrench. 10-32 x 3/16 set screws use a 3/32 hex wrench. "Knurled" in the set screw description is a typo, no doubt. I got the same picture you posted by googling "Machine Thumb Screws."

Knurled may very well mean that the end of some cup point set screw knurling or teeth to better grip what it is tighten into, say a barrel in this case.

Having knurled hand screws sticking out of the bottom big enough to grip wouldn't be very low profile!

I think BCM might do this knurling as well on their GB screws. I believe what they mean by "knurled" is that the tips of the screws have a knurled texture so as to 'bite' into the barrel as they're torqued down and resist rotating later on.

Nifty! Looks like the way the knurling is cut, it would help prevent the set screw from backing out.

I ended up ordering one from safe space, they shipped it out the next day. Hopefully I will get to install it next week sometime and will write a review.

I received my aero gas block yesterday, safe space shipping the next day after ordering it! They are good to go but are out of stock now. Anyways Installed I yesterday, I had to cut off the old gas block, (I shoot this rifle almost everyday)had some major cleaning of carbon deposits off the barrel and bird cage. This gas block was the perfect tightness l, it took a tap of a plastic hammer to get it in place but was easily removed with a light tap of the mallet. The nitride treatment seems well done and very slick, there are a couple of machining marks on her but nothing alarming. The click stops are nice and crisp and it even came with a spare detent in case you lose the original. Will test it out and adjust it this afternoon after work.
