Well found a pond that hogs use in the summer. Last year I killed a nice 80lb sow with my Monster 12 pistol. They came in unexpectedly close and my son didnt get a shot. This year went back with my son again hoping for his first kill on a larger animal. We set up in a better location and after suffering through the mosquitoes for two hours they appeared right where expected. I already told him to be ready to shoot and waited for his shot. I knew he would be on the biggest one and so I was trying to get a shot On one of the smaller ones. After his shot I missed mine but got on another one that stoped in the woods just a little too long. Both dropped in their tracks. He was shooting a Howa Mini and I was shooting the Monster 12 again. We both used 129 ABLR and performance was exactly as expected, two finger wide wound channel and two holes, both spine shots through the neck. More details to come.

How you get one out when you are a mile from the truck. Had to quarter and pack the other one out. Hot dirty work but he hung in there and did his part. He is earning his chance to take a deer.
