95gr vmax for hogs

anyone use the 95gr vmax on hogs? Recomended or no?

Vmax is not well suited for hogs unless plan on doing head shots. Bullet designed to fragment on impact for max damage to small bodied target (Varmint) that a traditional bullet would otherwise zip right through without a chance to even expand. A buddy shot a 150lbs hog at 50 yards and all of damage was exterior and not terminal. Luckily, one small fragment managed to puncture the heart... spent +1 hour tracking/searching in the dark. I made him switch bullets to Barnes Tac-tx. Worth the extra money for clean, quick kills and no tracking required.

If your going after as a meat pig, I would probably use a different bullet.

If you just want to shoot them and don't care if they run off to die. It will probably work just fine.

Me personally I will shoot them with whatever is in the gun, I just want them to die. I hate pigs.
